Okabe Rintaro the Main Character of Steins;Gate

I figure that since I can talk at length about Steins;Gate maybe I should talk about it's protagonist Okabe Rintaro, or as he likes to be called Hououin Kyouma. Okabe is one of the most intelligent members of the lab he is also the founder and leader of the F.G. Lab or Future Gadget Lab. Okabe is often shown as if he is delusional or insane due to his deliberately acting like a mad scientist or how he sometimes talks to himself over the phone and pretends to be working for a group fighting against "The Organization" but it is shown later that most of this is just for fun and because it makes him seem mysterious and cool, nobody finds him mysterious or cool despite this and infant if they don't think him delusional than they think he is arrogant. Really he is quite socially awkward and eccentric he is actually a very kind and caring person when you get down to it he puts in an honest effort to help people and get their agreement before he sets right what they changed with time travel. He is quite intelligent and the only character who understands Kurisu the fourth member of the lab when she talks about technical details. Okabe has the unique ability to edit timelines not out of special abilities but because his memory stays consistent throughout the timelines so he can notice inconsistencies, other characters can have memories from other timelines they just tend to experience it through dreams where his are direct memories. Okabe is shown to get quite serious and drop the whole "Mad Scientist" act when things get serious.

The creator of the film rip! The remixers manifesto, is heavily biased. However we should not hold this against him as his arguments ring true for the most part. He argues that copyright laws are unjust and holding people back, and again I would agree despite his heavy bias against copyright holders. He is probably biased due to the fact that as he grew up he always listened to remixed music and now when he is older his favourite artist is a man going by the name Girl Talk. His bias may also be based around the environment of music sharing and piracy he would have been raised in, that is certainly the reason I share his bias.

In Rip! The author uses appeal to authority by Calling upon notable figures such as Cory Doctrow to support his point. Cory Doctrow is a prominent blogger and advocate of freedom of information. He is known to have a seasons pass to Disneyland. He also tells anecdotes about cases of people being screwed by copyright laws, stories of regular people who get sued for possession of pirated music or software. Tales of people just like you or me who were sued into oblivion by corporations for no more than a couple songs they took off the internet.

However biased he is the film maker shows the whole situation in a reasonable light he tells of the creation of copyright which in its original form was actually quite reasonable, but he does focus far too heavily on the anti copyright side. Truly I agree with him and shall say he is correct you have to build on the old to achieve the new but copyrights are holding the world back.
